Chicago wheat futures slid for a second session after hitting a December 2012 high of $8.07 a bushel, with the most-active contract at $7.89 at midday. Paris wheat was flat after a record high of 297 euros a tonne, and USDA reported US winter wheat good-to-excellent ratings fell to 45%.
Profit-taking after record highs shows some demand resistance, but tight global supplies keep wheat firm, supporting feed grain values.
