Supply of linear alkylbenzene (LAB), a laundry detergent raw material, remains disrupted as the Middle East war continues. Buyers negotiating 2027 annual contracts are shifting volumes away from Middle Eastern suppliers, which account for about 20% of global LAB capacity.
Analysts expect South Korean producer ISU Chemical, the only domestic LAB producer, to benefit.
The shift adds demand for non-Middle East LAB supply, mainly from Asian producers with limited spare capacity. For feed buyers the link is indirect, since the story concerns a detergent chemical rather than feed ingredients or grains.
