DTN's average DDG price for the week ended Dec. 9 was $188 per ton, up $3 from the prior week, based on 33 locations.
Ethanol production rose 55,000 bpd to 1.090 million bpd, about 10% above the prior year. DTN noted that prices could come under pressure if plant output keeps rising, since most buyers have covered December needs.
Higher DDG output could cap prices as buyers stay covered. Price strength is still supported by the value of DDG relative to corn and soymeal.
