The Government of Canada announced more than $1.8 million for the Canola Council of Canada under the AgriMarketing Program. The funding will support canola promotion in Asia and North America and efforts to reach new export markets.
The funding is a promotional measure with little near-term effect on supply, demand or prices. It may modestly support long-run export demand for Canadian canola.
