Peru's Ministry of Production has authorized the country's first anchovy fishing season in southern waters. The season runs until June 30, 2022 or until the regional quota of 486,500 metric tons is reached.
A new southern quota adds anchovy supply for fishmeal and fish oil production, which is bearish for fishmeal prices. Buyers should expect more meal availability in the first half of 2022.
