Yara has closed the divestment of its Salitre phosphate project in Brazil to EuroChem and received total proceeds of US$452 million. The project includes a mine with over 350 million tonnes of reserves and a planned processing plant due in 2023.
This is a corporate ownership transfer with no immediate effect on phosphate supply or prices, since the mine's output is still years from full processing capacity.
