Feed & Grain reports that USDA's December cotton outlook projects 18.3 million bales, a 25% rise from 2020. Whole cottonseed supply is estimated at about 1 million tons more than last year, with nearly 4 million tons available to dairy and beef producers.
The increase is mainly from Texas.
More whole cottonseed supply should ease availability for cattle rations and soften cottonseed meal prices. The gain reflects a larger 2021 crop rather than a change in feed demand.
