Australia's four major banks unanimously expect the RBA to raise the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.85 percent at its November 3 meeting. The September CPI showed headline inflation at 4.3 percent and trimmed mean at 3.6 percent, both above expectations.
Market pricing for a November hike rose from about 69 percent to about 79 percent.
A widely expected RBA hike is already largely priced into the Australian dollar, so the currency impact may be limited unless the forecasts surprise. Updated RBA projections could still shift expectations for the path of rates.
