Ukrainian sunflower seed purchase prices fell by 300-400 UAH/t to 20,000-20,150 UAH/t after the hryvnia strengthened about 2% against the dollar. Processors cut raw material buying in anticipation of price adjustments, and palm and soy oil prices dropped 3-4% early in the week.
Lower domestic seed prices reflect processors pulling back, which may ease sunflower meal and oil cost pressure in the short term even as global oilseed prices rise.
