Al.com reports that Tyson Foods will build a $208 million rendering plant in Hanceville, Alabama, next to its former River Valley Ingredients plant destroyed by fire in July 2021. The 121,000-square-foot facility is due by mid-next-year and will retain 124 workers.
The rebuilt rendering capacity restores poultry protein meal supply for feed and pet food in the Southeast, a gradual bearish factor for meat meal prices.
