DDGS prices pulled back this week as soybean and soymeal prices weakened and ethanol plants returned from spring maintenance with more output. FOB ethanol plant DDGS averaged $297/MT, and export offers from the Gulf and to Southeast Asia were lower.
Seasonal output increases and softer soymeal values are pushing DDGS lower, giving feed buyers a cheaper protein option. Buyers who double bought may pause, so near-term demand could stay soft.
