CME Grade AA butter's five daily closes for 26-30 October 2026 averaged $1.3145 a pound, about 4.8 cents below the USDA survey price of $1.3627 for the week ending 24 October. The November butter future settled at $1.3630, closer to the survey price than to the spot-week average.
The gap between futures, the survey price and the spot average changes how butter feeds into Class III and Class IV milk prices. Those price relationships matter for dairy-based feed ingredient pricing.
