Cottonseed oil prices on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange fell sharply on 23 June, dropping from 14,866 soums per ton on 20 June to 10,023 soums. Producers offered 3.4 times more oil at auction that day than at the start of the week.
The price drop reflects a supply surge at auction rather than a change in demand, which is a short-term bearish signal for Uzbek cottonseed oil. Its effect on feed meal prices is limited.
