ICE canola futures in Canada fell on Wednesday morning, tracking losses in comparable vegetable oils, the Chicago soy complex, Malaysian palm oil and European rapeseed. Crude oil also declined moderately, and Manitoba's canola harvest reached 92% completion by October 20.
AAFC's October report trimmed 2026-27 carryover by 11,000 tonnes to 1.97 million tonnes.
Weaker vegetable oil and crude prices reduce the value of canola oil and biofuel-linked demand, dragging on canola and related oilseed prices. The minor carryover revision did little to offset these pressures.
