CME milk futures and cash dairy closed higher on Friday, with August Class III up $0.11 to $17.20 and forward months gaining. Cheese blocks and nonfat dry milk also rose slightly, while cheese barrels and butter eased.
Modest gains in Class III futures and cash dairy only partly reverse Thursday's losses, so the price trend stays soft for milk buyers. The moves are small and do not change the broader supply picture.
