CME milk futures closed higher on August 26, with September Class III up $0.23 to $20.24 and October up $0.40 to $20.76. Cheese blocks slipped to $1.74, while cheese barrels, butter at $3.0825 and nonfat dry milk at $1.56 rose.
Higher futures support milk value and slightly firm the outlook for dairy inputs. Gains were modest and mixed across products, so the effect on feed costs is limited.
