APK-Inform analyst Svitlana Kyrychok said logistics problems since the war began have hit Ukrainian oilseed prices, demand and exports. Last year Ukraine exported over 80% of its sunflower oil and meal, but since the war sunflower seed has held the leading share at about 38%.
Export volumes will depend on port operations, and early grain shipments are seen as a positive sign.
A shift from processed oilseed products toward seed exports reduces Ukrainian meal supply to world feed markets. This keeps sunflower meal prices supported relative to pre-war levels.
