Domestic DDGS prices in China rose to 2,816 RMB/ton on August 16, 2022, up 2.67% from 2,743 RMB/ton on August 1. Hot weather caused some alcohol plants to halt for maintenance, tightening supply, while firm aquaculture feed demand supported substitute soymeal and rapeseed meal prices.
Tighter Chinese DDGS supply and strong substitute meal prices support feed costs in China and can pull import demand for other protein meals. The trend is expected to persist if terminal demand keeps improving.
