Alberta's barley harvest has started, with yields looking better than the drought-hit 2021 crop. Feed barley bids for September delivery in Lethbridge are $350-360/t, and the high Alberta delivered bid is down 80 cents on the month.
Saskatchewan and Manitoba bids also fell.
Harvest pressure and better yields are pushing Prairie feed barley and feed wheat bids lower. Buyers can expect cheaper new-crop supplies into the autumn.
