China's average soybean meal price rose from 4,248 RMB per ton on August 1 to 4,534 RMB per ton on August 23, a gain of 6.73%. The increase followed lower arrivals of imported soybeans, plant maintenance shutdowns and firm feed demand, with inventories falling to 730,000 tons.
Tighter meal stocks and steady feed buying in China support import demand and firm global meal prices. Sluggish terminal demand limits further upside.
