Chicago corn futures were set for their biggest monthly gain in six months, up over 9% in August, as declining U.S. and European crop prospects supported prices. Pro Farmer estimated the U.S. corn yield at 168.1 bushels per acre, well below USDA's forecast, and USDA rated 54% of the crop good-to-excellent.
