Alberta Agriculture's Neil Blue cites AAFC's August 22 estimate of an 18.4 million tonne Canadian canola crop, with other analysts projecting 19 to 19.9 million tonnes. Canola carryout is under one million tonnes, well below the record carryover of three years ago.
A larger 2022 crop combined with low carry-in supports domestic crush and may limit export tightness, leaving canola supplies balanced rather than tight.
