A Rabobank report forecasts chicken to stay affordable in the last quarter of 2022 despite higher costs and supply challenges. It expects North America to underperform while South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa do better.
Rabobank also expects feed prices to approach Q1 levels, 10% to 15% below the Q2 peak, through early 2023.
Lower expected feed prices ease cost pressure on poultry producers and support continued chicken consumption as a low-cost protein, which keeps demand for feed ingredients steady rather than surging.
