The Federal Reserve published its weekly H.10 foreign exchange table for November 14 to 18, 2022. It lists currency units per US dollar for major and emerging-market currencies, including the Brazilian real near 5.38, the Mexican peso near 19.49, the South African rand near 17.23 and the Chinese yuan near 7.12.
These reference rates are the official benchmarks used to convert feed commodity and ingredient prices across currencies, so they help buyers in Brazil, Mexico and China judge the cost of imports and exports.
After 21 past neutral report events, Brazilian Real (BRL per USD) moved a median +0.9% over 5 sessions (62% higher; middle half -0.4% to +1.8%), and -0.4% over 20.
