Demand remained strong and soymeal prices rose. Analysts expected some ethanol plants to slow production as cold weather set in and margins weakened.
Higher soymeal prices make DDG more competitive as a protein feed, supporting its price. Possible plant slowdowns over the holidays could further tighten supply.
