DDGS values rose $5 to $7 per metric ton in the week, as domestic demand stayed strong and export interest began to increase. The USDA reported December DDGS production of 1.523 million metric tons, down 5.6% from November and 19% year over year, partly due to bitter cold and icy conditions.
Tighter production after weather-related plant disruptions, combined with firm export and domestic demand, supports DDGS prices for feed buyers.
