Argus/Agritel projects Ukraine's barley exports could fall to about 1 million tonnes in 2023-24, with production dropping to about 4.4 million tonnes from 5.8 million. Ukraine is expected to fall to sixth among feed barley exporters this season, held back by muted Chinese demand and uncertainty over the Black Sea corridor extension after 19 March.
Smaller Ukrainian supplies reduce competition in export markets, but weak Chinese demand and corridor uncertainty limit the price impact.
