Federal Milk Marketing Order Class III and IV prices both declined in January 2023. The Class III price was $19.43/cwt and the Class IV price was $20.01/cwt, the lowest since December 2021.
The Class II price was also down from December.
Lower Class III and IV prices reduce farm milk income and pressure dairy herd economics. That can weigh on dairy demand for feed over the coming months.
