Ukrainian domestic purchase prices for sunflower seed continued to fall in early March as weaker export demand for seed and sunflower oil weighed on the market. Prices at the western border dropped about $20/t to $480-500/t, while rapeseed and soybean prices were broadly stable.
Sunflower meal prices fell about $5/t.
Weaker export demand for Ukrainian sunflower products points to softer sunflower meal and oil availability and pricing for feed users. Stable soybean and rapeseed prices show limited direct pressure on those oilseed markets.
