Statistics Canada reported 2022 domestic canola crush of 8.769 million tonnes, down 11% from 2021, with canola oil and meal output also falling. Soybean crush rose 13.3% to 1.869 million tonnes over the same period.
A smaller canola crush cut domestic canola meal supply, while the higher soybean crush adds soybean meal supply, shifting feed protein availability in Canada.
