SunSirs reports the average Chinese rapeseed meal price rose 3.75% from April 1 to April 25, to 3,090 RMB/ton, though it remained 6.76% below March 1. Prices fell in March on weak supply and demand and a weaker soymeal market, then recovered from positive news in April with limited upside.
Rapeseed meal is a feed protein competing with soymeal, so firmer domestic prices support feed costs for Chinese buyers. Upside appears limited while global rapeseed supply has loosened.
