Argentina's securities regulator CNV published Resolution 962/2023, which bars dollars obtained through MEP or CCL operations from buying other sovereign bonds for 15 days. The measure targets arbitrage between bond prices and the dollar and tightens currency controls.
The regulator said it does not change routine operations for 99% of participants.
Tighter access to financial dollars limits capital flight and reduces demand for the parallel dollar, which can ease peso pressure. The effect on the feed and grain trade is indirect, through currency conditions that shape export selling.
