DTN retail data for the fourth week of April 2023 shows most US fertiliser prices fell from the prior month, with anhydrous down 10% to $928 per ton and urea down 5%. Prices for all major fertilisers were lower by double digits than a year earlier, with urea 41% lower and potash 29% lower.
Falling retail nitrogen, phosphate and potash prices lower the input cost outlook for US feed and grain producers, although the broad year-on-year declines are largely already reflected in current prices.
