DTN's average spot price for domestic DDGS was $217 per ton for the week ended June 1, down $4 from the prior week. Demand has slowed and soybean meal weakness is adding pressure, while rising plant output keeps supply full.
Softer DDGS spot prices lower the cost of this corn-based protein for feed formulators. Weakness in soybean meal also reduces the value of DDGS as a protein substitute.
