Diesel prices appear to have bottomed in the US and are rising across Europe and Asia, according to EIA figures. Causes cited include refinery outages at Exxon Mobil's Baton Rouge plant, Shell's Pernis site and ENEOS's Mizushima facility, low inventories, and a rise of over $10 a barrel in oil prices during the past month.
Low Rhine water levels are also stranding diesel imports.
Refinery outages and low stocks tighten global diesel supply, which raises fuel and logistics costs for feed producers. Rhine disruptions add regional transport constraints in Europe.
