U.S. ethanol exports fell 10% in May to 113.2 million gallons, with Canada again the top destination. U.S. DDGS exports rose 23% month on month to 958,385 metric tons, a nine-month high, led by Mexico and Turkey.
Brazil remained largely absent from the U.S. ethanol market due to a 16% tariff.
Higher DDGS export volumes support demand for this feed co-product and help underpin its value against corn and soybean meal, while weaker ethanol exports have little direct effect on feed supply.
After 480 past neutral trade events, CORN moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
