Statistics Canada reported a record July monthly canola crush of 961,683 mt, up 24.2% year on year. Crushers finished the crop year strongly while canola exports stayed slow, and total crop-year crush rose 16.4%.
A record crush adds meal supply to the domestic market while slow exports leave more seed at home, which pressures canola meal prices.
