The DTN average price for domestic DDG from 33 locations was $197 per ton for the week ended August 10, down $2 from the prior week. Demand slowed, especially in deferred positions, and DDG value relative to corn was 1.14%.
Softer DDG spot prices and slowing demand reduce the feed value buyers can pay relative to corn and soybean meal. The cost per unit of protein gap versus soybean meal favors DDG only modestly.
