Fertecon (S&P Global) forecasts potash prices will keep easing through 2023 and into 2024 after retreating from 2022 highs. July standard-grade MOP traded at $239-$300/t FOB Baltic, versus $853 in Q2 2022, back to early-2021 levels before sanctions on Belarus.
Easing potash prices lower the cost of potassium inputs for crops, which eases feed-grain cost pressure, though the market remains sensitive to trade disruptions in a concentrated supply base.
