Ukraine has exported 41,000 tonnes of barley from the 2023 harvest through Odessa ports, with some 50,000 tonnes sold for China shipment in November. Export buyers are paying about $118 to $120 per tonne, while domestic processors remain the main buyers.
Prices are not expected to rise significantly in coming weeks.
Growing Chinese demand via Odessa supports Black Sea barley export values, but volumes remain small against the domestic market. The effect on global feed barley prices is limited.
