Ukrainian sunflower purchase prices rose UAH 500-600/t to 12,500-13,200/t as processors expanded output and sunflower oil exports. Processing margins fell to an annual low of $50-60/t, which limits further price increases, and export demand rose to 30,000 tonnes in October.
Thin crush margins restrain processing and therefore sunflower meal output, while higher oil export demand supports prices across the sunflower complex.
