Ukrainian sunseed demand prices rose 500-800 hryvnia per tonne in the week to about 14,500-15,000 UAH/t delivered to plants. Sunflower oil prices stalled and slipped $10-20/t to $770-780/t as Chicago soybean oil quotations weakened.
Higher sunseed prices reflect firm oil export demand, but weaker soybean oil futures and Russian oil competition cap gains, so the net effect on sunflower meal and oil prices is mixed.
