Unifor members ratified a new collective agreement with the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation after an eight-day strike that began October 22. The deal provides annual raises of 5, 4 and 4 percent, and the strike was the first on the Seaway since 1968.
Ratification removes the risk of further Seaway stoppages, supporting predictable grain and oilseed export logistics through the winter closure period.
