Rabobank's updated Q1 2024 poultry outlook forecasts 1.5% to 2% global chicken growth in 2024, up from 1.1% in 2023. Lower feed and input costs are expected to make chicken cheaper and support consumption, while the US, Thailand, Indonesia, China and the EU face oversupply.
Lower input costs and oversupply in major exporting markets point to softer chicken prices, though demand growth in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America offers some support.
