The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine confirmed that full fallen animal collection has resumed nationwide after talks with the Irish Category One Renderers. All three category 1 rendering plants reopened for deliveries from December 15.
The department did not disclose the terms of the agreement.
Resumed rendering capacity in Ireland removes the short-term disruption to fallen animal disposal. The change has little effect on global feed ingredient prices.
