Ukrainian sunflower seed demand prices fell from UAH 14,500-15,000/t to UAH 13,500-13,800/t after a drop in oil prices. Soybean oil in Chicago and palm oil in Malaysia each fell 3.5-4.5% in the same week, and Ukrainian purchase prices dropped another $10-20/t.
Lower soyoil and palm oil prices pull down the vegetable oil complex and sunflower crush margins. Buyers should expect continued softness in vegetable oil feedstock costs.
