Analysts Marlene Boersch and Bruce Burnett expect Canada's 2023-24 canola carryout to be well above Agriculture Canada's one million tonne forecast, citing slow exports down 18 percent. Boersch lowered her export estimate to 7.5 million tonnes and raised production to 17.79 million tonnes.
A larger expected carryout implies more canola supply available, which is bearish for canola meal and oil prices unless export demand picks up.
