The USDA raised its forecast for Ukrainian vegetable oil exports in the 2023/24 season to 6.4 million tonnes, with sunflower oil accounting for the gain. It also lifted sunflower meal exports to 4.7 million tonnes and raised production estimates.
Kernel processed 811,000 tonnes of sunflower seed in its fiscal second quarter, up 24%.
Higher Ukrainian export and production forecasts add meal supply to global markets and put modest downward pressure on sunflower meal prices. Strong crush volumes also signal steady availability.
