Winter canola growers recorded the highest yields in the 2023 Canola Challenge run by the Ontario Canola Growers Association for the third year running. Canola processing capacity is expected to reach 23 million tonnes by 2025, with 70% of production going to crush.
Higher yields and rising processing capacity point to more crush and meal supply in coming years. The effect on prices in the near term is minimal.
