The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore after a ship collision is disrupting port traffic. Baltimore handles only a small share of US agricultural exports, mostly containerized, so bulk grain and soybean flows are expected to be largely unaffected.
Coal may be diverted to Norfolk or barged down the Mississippi, which could firm barge freight rates, but the direct impact on feed grain prices is limited.
